The Telos Cycle is a trilogy exploring the operating systems that run our lives. The ideas published here on Human on Purpose grew out of these books, and the books remain the most complete expression of the framework.
We All Believe
Everyone has a worldview. Most of us have never examined ours.
We All Believe is the diagnostic. It introduces the Five Forces of human experience (the ways we perceive reality), the First Principles that ground a coherent life, and the concept of “everyday gods,” the unexamined organizing principles that direct our lives without our permission.
The book makes a case that the meaning crisis is not a mystery. It is what happens when your beliefs stop being a coherent system and start being a pile of lumber instead of a house. And it offers a framework for examining what you actually believe, so you can start building something you can stand on.
